Parents, friends and family,
Welcome to the 2016-2017
school year! We are all so excited to be together again after a long summer
break. We have some exciting activities planned for the creativity laboratory
(ARTstudio).
The art studio is currently
under renovation. To explain, I am in the process of adding creativity
exploration stations. Each station will have materials for the children to
choose how and with what they will express themselves. From line to shape,
shape to form and all while mixing and creating color. The goal in the art room
is to encourage creativity, as well as promote and foster a deeper sense of
self-confidence and self expression. Exploration stations will allow the
students to choose and create when they feel they are ready for each media.
In order to provide the best possible prepared
environment for each station, please be on the lookout for donating:
1.

be used in sculptures:
such as, but not limited to, small dollhouse items, broken
toys, bottle caps, tops , small pieces of wood, spools of thread, (sculpting
clay-non drying), model magic, playdoh, duct tape, **Scotch tape and dispensers
