Together these two inspiring artists were commissioned to study the HARD HISTORY of Charleston, South Carolina. The Halsey is the College of Charleston art gallery.  This is where lives can change. What do you do with a problem? FIX it. How do you fix it? Start by telling about it. describe it through images, words, and music. Art is history,  emotion,  therapy,  science, and devotion. Do not push your dirt under the rug, its still there. Lift it to the surface and set it free. We all need education to help us understand the history behind why people may be the way they are or act the way they do. We all need more crucial conversations about what really happened and identify our feelings to be able to move from the negativity.

If you haven't seen the current exhibit at the Halsey, please go. Talk about how it makes you feel. What can you do to fix it ?

Lion King Jr. Montessori style- May 2018

This post never was finished and it was  beautiful production and process in 2018! The students were in charge with a small amount of adult direction.
All classes helped with the cultural and art decoration for the production night. All classes learned the songs so the could sing in the chorus from the audience or backstage.
One year of prep and two nights of fabulousness! Sometimes dreams do come true!
